The stunning Spring Trek Sydney course takes in some of the most scenic views in the Sydney area as you trek along spectacular National Park trails in the Berowra region.
The trek starts at 7am and should take approximately 6-10 hours to complete, and is separated into 3 challenging sections. (The 18km course is the first two sections of the 30km course.)
At the completion of each section there will be a checkpoint that includes aid and refreshment stations, manned by Room to Read Sydney Chapter's fantastic volunteers!
The rugged 30km trail enjoys beautiful water views and includes over 1,546m of elevation!
Section 1: Cowan to Berowra Waters. (Distance: 8km)
The trek starts in the quiet suburb of Cowan at Cowan Oval on Bujwa Bay road. It then heads along the rugged Great North Walk, with a number of steep ascents and descents, down to the spectacular water's edge at Berowra Waters.
Section 2: Berowra Waters to Mount Kuring-gai. (Distance: 10.6km. Cumulative: 18.6km)
The trail climbs along beautiful terrain beside Berowra Creek before heading up through the challenging Lyrebird Gully to Mt Kuring-gai Public School.
Section 3: Mount Kuring-gai to Berowra. (Distance: 11.4km. Cumulative: 30km)
The trail descends the Mount Kuring-gai Track to Cowan Creek. The trail then meanders alongside Cowan Creek on the Berowra Track towards Waratah Bay before a short, steep climb to Berowra and the finish line at Berowra Public School.
