Event Day

PRIOR TO THE EVENT

  • Make sure we have all your team’s contact details – especially individual email and mobile numbers – so we can communicate essential information. If any of your team members change please notify us.

  • Please arrive at Registration promptly. The trek begins at 7am and all teams must be fully registered and checked in before then.  

  • Download and print the event map here.

  • Complete the Release Form.

ON EVENT DAY

Registration - open 6am to 6:45am

  • At registration, you will get your Bibs to attach to your shirt.

  • If you haven’t completed it online – you must bring your completed & signed risk waiver for each of your team members.

  • Have all your gear

    • Event bibs – collect these at registration

    • Basic first aid – 1 set per team (eg blister pads, plasters, sunscreen, tape, bandage

    • 1 Emergency blanket per person

    • Water and food

    • At least 1 copy of the Event Map per team

    • Phones on at least 2 different networks

    • Some cash to purchase coffee/tea 

    • Head torch and spare batteries essential (even if you think you will not be walking after sunset)

  • Any last minute team member changes need to be done at registration

  • All team members MUST be present at registration

  • There will be coffee/tea available at the start 

ON THE TRAIL

  • Bibs must be worn on the front (for your safety and for our volunteers to identify your team)

  • The route will be generally marked but you must bring a copy of the event map

  • There are 2 checkpoints with volunteers between the start and finish where all team members must present themselves

  •  All team members must cross the finish to be eligible for a category place

  • If a team member withdraws they need wait until you reach a checkpoint and report it at the checkpoint

  • If the whole team withdraws please call Alex Shirley on 0410 451 256.  

CHECKPOINTS

We use checkpoints to record your team's progress and to provide a base to receive first aid if needed. Checkpoints are where you will meet our friendly volunteers cheering you on!

All Checkpoints will have the following:

  • First Aid Services
  • Water and hydration
  • Food: Fruit, minimal/basic snacks will be available for trekkers use only. Please do not rely on there being something you like or can eat. [Remember to only use food and hydration products you have practised with during training] 

Finish line

When you cross the finish line, make sure you present at the Finish desk to get your finish time.

 Berowra train station is in walking distance from the Finish line.
