Thanks for your interest in joining the action and fun of Spring Trek Sydney. Our volunteers have the most important role and the trek will not happen without you. Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet new people, learn new skills and most importantly, make a difference. Spring Trek Sydney has the added advantage of getting you out of the house and into the beautiful scenery of Ku-ring-gai National Park.
Spring Trek Sydney Volunteer Requirements
To join the team, we ask that you please meet the following requirements:
♦ You are 18 years of age or older (or between 16-18 years of age with adult supervision);
♦ Able to get to the event location by your own means of transport;
♦ Able to attend the entirety of your shift (approx 3-5 hours).
♦ Able to attend the volunteer briefing, details of which will be advised closer to event day (If you are keen to volunteer but can’t make the briefing session, please apply anyway - we may run a second briefing session or brief you 1:1 over the phone.)
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please use the form on the right.
Roles and locations -There are a number of different roles available to volunteers - you can work on the registration team, the checkpoint team, out on the trail or on the logistics team. There are four main locations on the trek: Cowan Oval, Berowra Waters, Mount Kuring-gai Public School and Berowra Public School. Most volunteer roles will be based in or close to one of these locations.
Shifts - Each role has been split into shifts - you can volunteer for a single shift, or do back-to-back shifts if you prefer. Most shifts are between three and five hours, with the earliest starting at 5:30am, and the latest finishing at 7:30pm.
Please note -Whilst we will try to match you up with your preferred role and shift time, it may not always be possible. We ask that you are flexible with us, in order that we can make this event successful.
